Frank holds a Master’s degree in civil engineering, micro electronics and telecommunications from KU Leuven, Belgium. Among various work experiences and before joining ERTICO in February 2018, he was an R&D and Innovation manager at Philips Consumer electronics. He worked as product management director for POS Payment terminals at Intellect and at NXP Semiconductors as ‘connected car’ business development director for the BU Automotive. His expertise lies within Connected and Automated Driving, and the Mobility Data Space. He coordinates the ERTICO Innovation Platforms EAVP (European Automated Valet Parking) and TN-ITS . He leads SWG4.2 in NAPCORE and WG5 in deployEMDS, both EU funded projects. Frank also was a lecturer at the Belgian Leuven University Colleges (UCLL) for 33 years for digital media related topics (IoT, Audio-Video technologies and internet streaming).
