Peter Staelens is Head of Mobility at EUROCITIES, the network of major European Cities. Since joining EUROCITIES in 2008 he has worked on a variety of topics in the field of urban mobility, including for example transport digitalization, connectivity and automation, urban mobility planning, traffic management, urban logistics, mobility management, urban mobility indicators, shared mobility, local transport regulation and behavioural change, both in terms of projects and policy development. From 2000 until 2008, Peter Staelens worked for the European Passengers’ Federation, focusing mainly on passenger rights and railway market liberalization, and promoting interests of transport users at European level.
