A telecom engineer, Mr Raifaud soon shown great interest in the local public sector. He first worked as a consultant helping local public authorities with telecom public contracts before being in charge of telecom matters in a local public syndicate. He was elected president in October 2020.​

​He joined the left-wing party and then the ecology party as an activist before being elected and holding various responsibilities in a Parisian district for the past 10 years. He is also counseller of Paris, and counseller of the Great Paris Metropole area.​
