Innovative Air Mobility (IAM) is a subset of the emerging sector of Innovative Aerial Services (IAS). IAM deals with the transportation of passengers or goods through next generation electric Vertical Take-off and Landing vehicles, known as eVTOL. This session focuses on the future transportation of passengers and examines the advances on the topic worldwide. It will delve into details regarding the technological advances accomplished and still required beyond the aviation sector, the promising use cases for IAM passenger services deployment as well as the specific characteristics of their contexts, the deployment challenges towards integrated mobility as well as the aspects for the wider societal acceptance.
