The Baltic Mobility Collaborative (BMC) is an innovative, cross-border, institutional platform initiated in 2024 by the Baltic ITS organizations to jointly test and scale mobility solutions across Baltic cities and regions with the aim of addressing the lack of cohesion between the Baltic States in the mobility field. Within the scope of the BMC, its partners aim to solve challenges which hinder cross-border mobility services, focusing on digital infrastructure like fare validation, route planning, rail systems and public space management which are necessary to maximize not only initiatives like Rail Baltica, but enable a more seamless and consistent experience for people moving in and between Baltic cities. The proposed panel consists of early architects of the BMC, ITS ecosystem leaders, government agencies and mobility service providers, who will dive into the BMC's creation and the upside for furthering public and private collaboration similarly to the Baltic mobility ecosystem. More importantly, the panel will discuss how this model can be replicated to other European regions to reinforce the single market which, similarly to the Baltics, lacks cross-border cohesion in many facets of the mobility experience which is key in moving people and goods in a sustainable way. Panel structure: 5 minutes BMC context setting from Moderator 5 minutes Panelist introductions focusing on their role in solving mobility challenges in the region 15 minutes Moderator facilitates a Human Mobility Spectrogram Exercise (HMSE) with the attendees 30 minutes panelists discussions with reflections on HMSE outputs 5 minutes post discussion Q&A with attendees.
