This session explores the role of a National Access Points (NAPs) and European Mobility Data Spaces (EMDS), focusing on the value it can bring to the sector through improved data sharing and stronger cross-border collaboration among stakeholders. Public Transport Authorities (PTAs), Public Transport Operators (PTOs), and Mobility Service Providers (MSPs) are encouraged to provide high-quality open data at the via NAPs. Complementary to them, EMDS act as facilitators for exchanging added value data between stakeholders. Together, they enable a strong European digital infrastructure for multimodal mobility data access. We'll discuss community involvement in data standardization and harmonisation work of NAPCORE, including the use of the Transmodel-based standards NeTEx and SIRI, community-led governance for the widely adopted mobility data standards GTFS and GBFS organized by MobilityData, and the roll-out of multimodal use-cases within deployEMDS. It highlights how collaborative models and standards can support more inclusive, transparent, and adaptable digital solutions for all.
