The session will bring together experts to explore and contrast the business models employed for New Mobility Services in urban transportation and will dive into the following aspects: the role of collaborative efforts among local governments, private enterprises, and research institutions; data-driven decision-making and community engagement to enhance the quality of life in urban areas while reducing emissions and congestion - active transportation and micro-mobility and integrating them with public transport in a new generation of Mobility as a Service (MaaS). The discussion will focus on key findings from research on NMS market developments and innovation drivers. These include trends and technologies that are reshaping the adoption and frequency of NMS use, leading to a need for adaptive and forward-thinking business and operational models. It will also provide initial insights into the necessary technology-driven improvements in modal integration and user satisfaction to fully realise the potential of MaaS. First-hand experiences on the planning and implementation of NMS business models and concepts. Amongst others, the discussion will touch upon the local community setup, user engagement and measuring the impact of NMS business models and concepts. The structure, the content and the governance mechanism of the ecosystem that could lead to a successful adoption of seamless shared urban mobility business operation and different dimensions of the seamless business ecosystem including governance, control mechanism and key activities.
