Vassilis Podimatas holds a Master’s in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering from the School of Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering (NA&ME) of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), Greece. He is currently employed as an external research engineer at the Laboratory for Maritime Transport of NA&ME and is also a member of the Maritime Risk Group (MRG) research group. His expertise is in marine safety; sustainability of alternative maritime fuels; and Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA) methodologies. Part of his work has been published in the Journal of Risk Analysis and Crisis Response. He has participated as a speaker at various international scientific conferences with topics relevant to his expertise.
