Alicia Enríquez Manilla holds a degree in Economics from the Universidade da Coruña, Spain (2017), and a Master’s in Economic Internationalisation – International Trade Management from the Universitat de València, Spain (2021). She currently works as a Technician for R&D&I Projects within the Technical Team for Innovation and Port Cluster Development at Fundación Valenciaport—an applied research, innovation, and training centre providing services to the port and logistics cluster. Fundación Valenciaport is an initiative of the Port Authority of Valencia.
Her first professional experience with R&D&I projects in the transport and logistics sector began in 2020, when she joined the Institute of International Economics at the University of Valencia as a junior researcher in the area of Territory, Mobility, and Logistics. During the same period, she was also part of the university's research team for the Chair of Economic Model Transformation of the Generalitat Valenciana, where she focused on supply chains and international trade in the Valencian Community.
Since joining Fundación Valenciaport, Alicia has actively contributed to a variety of research and innovation projects funded by the European Commission, primarily aimed at enhancing the efficiency and competitiveness of the port logistics community. Her main areas of expertise include: Environmental impact analysis and evaluation in port terminals; Analysis and optimisation of port processes; Development of models for logistics and port-logistics connectivity; Evaluation of European investments in R&D&I projects in the transport and logistics sector; Economic and financial analysis of logistics and port infrastructure projects and investments.
