Dr Ying Lia Li (Lia) is the CEO and founder of Zero Point Motion, pioneering chip-scale optical inertial sensors to revolutionise positioning, autonomous navigation, and GNSS-denied applications. With a PhD in cavity optomechanics and quantum sensing from UCL, and prior experience at BAE Systems, she has built lasers, developed optical fibre and chip technologies, and now leads a company filling a critical gap in the £16 billion inertial sensing market.

Lia holds four patents and multiple awards, including Sensors Converge Woman of the Year (2023), ElectroOptics Top Photonics100 (2024) and the Institute of Physics Clifford Paterson Medal (2021).
