With a strong background in both industry and academia, Marcin Seredynski bridges the gap between theoretical research and real-world applications. He currently leads the Autonomous Systems program at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability, and Trust (SnT) at the University of Luxembourg. Before joining the university, he served as the Head of Research and Innovation at the Volvo E-Bus Competence Center. He had global responsibility for managing the geofencing zone management system. Marcin led the development of the S-Charge hybrid bus concept. In addition to overseeing customer deployments of the S-Charge, he conducted performance analyses of fully electric buses, supporting both sales and product development efforts. Marcin earned his M.Sc. from the Warsaw University of Technology in 2004 and successfully defended his Ph.D. thesis in 2009 at the University of Luxembourg, in collaboration with the Polish Academy of Sciences. To date, Marcin has authored over 60 peer-reviewed scientific and technical articles. He also serves as the honorary chair of the International Association of Public Transport (UITP).
