Edwin van den Belt is a seasoned software architect specializing in mobility solutions, with a focus on Mobility as a Service (MaaS). Since 2018, he has been instrumental in the development of the TOMP-API, an open standard that facilitates seamless communication between transport operators and MaaS providers. As a co-chair of the TOMP working group, he has played a pivotal role in shaping this international standard, which has seen widespread adoption across Europe, North America, and Australia.
Edwin's primary mission is to enhance the travel experience by providing standardized mobility data that supports efficient booking and seamless travel. He believes that achieving this goal requires collaboration among all stakeholders in the mobility ecosystem. In addition to his work with the TOMP-API, Edwin actively contributes to the CoRoM project and the Transmodel working group, aligning with other standards such as GBFS and NeTEx to promote interoperability and innovation in mobility services.
