Geert Van Der Linden started his career in aeronautical manufacturing. As manager responsible for resource and production planning across multiple sites in multiple continents he learned the value of jointly developing and agreeing on new policies, as well as clearly communicating to all affected stakeholders. Later, he became a policy coordinator and team leader on Intelligent Transport Systems in the transport department of the European Commission and manages many initiatives that aim to make transport smarter and more sustainable. This ranges from driverless vehicles to facilitating planning and booking long-distance multimodal travel and includes legislative work alongside many other initiatives that help support implementation.
