With over 30 years of experience in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), Dr Harrod Booth is a leading consultant specialising in parking, traffic management, and kerbside data. He is widely recognised for his role in shaping international standards, including as a principal developer of the Alliance for Parking Data Standards (APDS) specification, now adopted as a global ISO standard. He authored the European Regulated Parking Data Profile for the European Parking Association and serves as Specification Lead for the UK Department for Transport’s Digital Traffic Order Regulations (D-TRO) project.

In addition, he is the Convenor for the European DATEX II traffic management standards (including parking data) and previously chaired the British Standards ITS Committee for 15 years. His contributions to the field were recognised in 2024 when he became the inaugural winner of the ITS-UK Richard Harris Award for International Achievement.
