Automated Valet Parking (AVP) was introduced in the EU six years ago, but significant progress in market adoption has yet to be realized. The ERTICO innovation platform, Enhancing Automated Valet Parking (EAVP), brings together key stakeholders—including parking operators, OEMs, authorities, and service providers—to address this market gap. This session features EAVP speakers from these diverse sectors, each presenting their unique perspectives and collaborative efforts to achieve the shared goal of deploying AVP technology in the market. Attendees gain insights through introductory sessions covering the latest advancements in parking operations and their transition to AVP systems, the various applications for AVP and related existing and emerging associated standards, and the end-user perspective as seen by OEMS. Finally, EAVP highlights how its technical and marketing initiatives unify these viewpoints to drive the adoption of AVP, fostering a shared vision for its future deployment.
