Meeting climate targets is a shared global responsibility. This session on “Sustainable Mobility Management - Sustainable strategies and new technology for the holistic, intermodal and multimodal mobility of the future” brings together pioneering perspectives from Germany, Greece, Spain and Australia to address the pressing challenges of intermodal and multimodal mobility. The session will explore how push and pull factors can be effectively combined to influence travel behavior and drive a transition towards climate-friendly mobility systems. Representatives from the German project AIAMO and the Greek projects Regenwest, UPPER, and Mobilair will present innovative strategies and digital tools—ranging from AI-based routing and dynamic pricing to gamification and citizen engagement. Through use cases from different urban contexts, the session highlights both controversies and solutions that shape the future of sustainable mobility. Particular attention will be given to incentive design, integration of mobile sensor platforms, and communication interfaces with OEMs. A concluding panel discussion will invite the audience to reflect on how these experiences can inspire a coherent sustainability strategy and practical implementation across European and global cities.
