CCAM holds a significant potential of revolutionizing transportation systems, offering benefits in safety, efficiency, and sustainability. However, transitioning from pilot projects and localized initiatives to large-scale deployment remains a challenge. This session aims to address the multifaceted hurdles that stakeholders face while highlighting the current state of readiness across different regions and domains. The session will begin by identifying key challenges in achieving large-scale CCAM deployment. Technological bottlenecks, such as interoperability, system integration, and the scalability of communication infrastructures, are critical factors that must be addressed. Additionally, the alignment of legal and regulatory frameworks across regions is crucial to ensure consistent and reliable CCAM implementation. The session will also explore socio-economic challenges, including public acceptance, workforce readiness, and the economic feasibility of scaling these innovative systems. Addressing these different aspects together, the session aims to provide a full picture of the current status with CCAM Deployment. Building on these challenges, the session will provide an in-depth analysis of lessons learned from pilot projects and early deployments. Panelists will discuss the gaps between pilot-scale innovations and real-world requirements, shedding light on what is needed to transition from concept to large-scale operation. Through an engaging exchange of insights, the session seeks to explore actionable strategies and collaborative approaches to overcome these barriers. The goal is to foster a deeper understanding of the roadmap ahead, paving the way for a unified and sustainable deployment of CCAM systems on a broader scale.
