Camiel Beckers works as a scientist in e-mobility and battery systems at the powertrains department of TNO. He has a background in mechanical engineering, more specifically in systems and control. Camiel holds a PhD degree from Eindhoven University of Technology, where his research interests included energy consumption modelling of battery electric vehicles.
At TNO, he focuses on projects related to vehicle digital twins, electric vehicle models energy consumption models, battery health, and battery state-of-X estimation. He is involved in multiple Horizon EU projects related to the electrification of heavy-duty transport, including NextETruck, ZEFES and FlexMCS, and Dutch projects like Charging Energy Hubs and Green Transport Delta – Electrification. He is involved in the EARPA foresight groups and 2Zero.
