Debby Bezzina has built a diverse career in the field of transportation, with a focus on connected and automated vehicle technologies. She holds degrees in electrical engineering and business administration, along with a program management certification.

With over thirty-eight years of experience, she has worked for major automotive companies such as General Motors and Ford, involving herself in vehicle control modules and engine design. At Visteon, she managed USDOT-funded projects related to advanced safety systems.

At UMTRI, Debby has been involved in projects like the Safety Pilot Model Deployment and the Ann Arbor Connected Vehicle Test Environment, where she has applied her skills in managing complex projects related to transportation systems.

Currently, she serves as the Managing Director of the Ann Arbor Connected Environment. In this role, she helps oversee projects like the Smart Intersections Project and the Ann Arbor Connected Environment 2.0, which focus on enhancing connected vehicle infrastructure.

Since 2011, Debby has managed significant investments in connected vehicle technology in Ann Arbor, contributing to the city’s development as a center for this technology. Her work supports advancements in transportation technology and contributes to the University of Michigan's role in this field.
