Stephanie Kleine, a civil engineer, has been working in the field of intelligent transport systems for over 30 years. She has been involved in the development of ITS harmonisation and seamless ITS services in Europe for two decades in leading roles as part of EU ITS funding projects and was responsible for the European exchange of experts between road operators and road authorities in the field of TIS and TM for over 10 years. In 2012, the EASYWAY Deployment Guidelines were adopted by the national transport ministries, for which Stephanie was largely responsible. For her work she was honoured with the EASYWAY Award for Outstanding Contribution. She is currently passionate about smart cycling. In Seville, she presented the "Smart Cycling Roadmap: A Call to Action", which she was instrumental in creating together with other European colleagues.
