As part of the ESA NAVISP programme team, Olivier supports the innovation, competitiveness, and growth of the European and Canadian PNT industrial landscape. He has consolidated, enabled, and been involved in numerous ideas that have become commercial products or services in the PNT market.
Prior to this, he worked at ESA on various projects in the Radio Navigation and Satellite Communications domains, conducting research and development, supporting the GALILEO programme (ground and space segments), participating in standardization (DVB, 3GPP), and working on projects involving major players such as INMARSAT, THALES, AIRBUS, EUTELSAT, OHB, and HISPASAT.
Before joining ESA, Olivier spent ten years working as a development engineer and project manager, and he created and managed a design and development group for technology and products in the aerospace market.
He has been a part-time lecturer at the university, teaching microelectronics, digital signal processing, and perception systems subjects at the Polytechnic University of Valencia (ES) and the University of Valencia (ES).
He started his career while studying at the university, creating a start-up that delivered software products for data analytics in the medical and business domains.
Olivier holds an MSc in Telecommunications Engineering and is an alumnus of the Polytechnic University of Valencia (ES).
The ESA NAVISP programme has supported more than 350 projects, boosting innovation and fostering competitiveness in the European and Canadian industries, broadening business horizons, creating jobs, and stimulating growth and investment. It works with all leading industry fields and supports national strategies enabled by PNT.
