This session delves into how the European Mobility Data Space and data-driven approaches enhance efficiency and sustainability across urban mobility sectors. It will focus on new mobility services (NMS), GALILEO solutions, Digital Twin in urban logistics, passenger mobility (both public and private) and smart tourism. Speakers will present policies, best practices, and public-private partnerships, discussing key challenges and offering solutions for integrating and leveraging data to create smarter and more connected NMS. These services aim to optimize the use of various mobility resources, tailored to the needs of entire urban communities. The European Mobility Data Space and mobility data are essential enablers for the widespread adoption of NMS. However, implementing data-driven solutions presents challenges, such as safeguarding data privacy and developing infrastructure for effective data collection and analysis. As cities strive to reduce emissions, improve traffic efficiency, and enhance public services, data analytics and real-time insights provide significant opportunities for NMS and driving sustainable change. To unlock the full potential of data-driven NMS, cities must overcome these obstacles. The session will also explore the integration of data across mobility, energy, and other sectors, ensuring that public, private, and shared transport systems work seamlessly together.
