Dr Nikolaos Tsampieris is a Senior Manager at ERTICO ITS Europe and Head of Transport & Logistics sector. He holds a PhD in Digital Signal Processing Techniques for Communication Systems an MSc in Digital Communication Systems and an MEng in Electronics & Computer Engineering.
Nikolaos has extensive experience in Digital Signal Processing, Wireless Sensor Networks, IoT, embedded Security Systems, Cryptography, 5G/B5G Connectivity and Digitalisation.
As ERTICO’s expert he oversees Technologies and Research activities and the development, coordination and execution of several EU innovation actions and projects in 6G, Cooperative, Connected and Automated Mobility and Transport & Logistics. He represents ERTICO in 6G-IA, AIOTI, ETSI’s InDiCo Stakeholder Group and the European Space Agency.
Prior to his engagement at ERTICO, he held Senior Research and Management positions, in Academia, and Telecommunications & Defence Industries leading the development of technologies, products and the execution of European R&D and ESA programs and projects.
He is the author of several research papers, has been awarded patents for an Autonomous VSAT System, an Integrated Security System and a Content-based Routing method and has served as a visiting Research Fellow at Cranfield University, UK.
