Since 2022, Bart Lannoo is Innovation Director at Be-Mobile, a smart mobility service provider based in Belgium, developing high-tech solutions for traffic (traffic data, insights and management) and mobility rights (mobile parking payment, urban access rights and toll collection). Within Be-Mobile, he is responsible for Be-Mobile's innovation projects, both in a national and international context, and is active in several European R&D projects. Bart Lannoo obtained a Master and PhD in civil engineering from Ghent University. Before his career at Be-Mobile, he worked for 6 years as a business developer at imec / University of Antwerp, and before that as a postdoctoral researcher at imec / Ghent University. During his academic career, his main topics were related to broadband connectivity and Internet of Things for smart mobility & logistics, smart cities and industry 4.0.
